Zoomed Out

Yep! Barely blogging at all nowadays, barely even reading blogs right now... But I'm waiting for the shower to become available so here I am. I figured I should let you know what I zoomed in on in my last post. Yes, it was oatmeal with raisins (and sliced almonds, but I don't know if they were even visible). I eat this for breakfast, or lunch, A LOT! I serve it with almond milk. Yum!

So anyways, I wanted tell you why I chose oatmeal. Do you remember way back when, when I told you about the magazine I read as a kid that had this contest on the last page and how I was inspired by that to start this Zoomed thing. Yes, thing, I'm tired, ok? It's almost midnight and I still have to take my shower. 

Remember how I told ya that I always wanted to take pictures and zoom in and let people guess what it was? Well, oatmeal has been on my mind since then, since I was a kid. Now, the picture didn't turn out the way I had envisioned.  I always wanted to zoom in on those little bubbles that pop as the oatmeal is boiling away. They're pretty cool. But it got too steamy to do that so that didn't happen. Stupid childhood dream! (Did you also have a dream about zooming in on bubbling oatmeal when you were a kid? What a coincidence!)

Well, the shower is all mine and then it's time for bed. Can you say zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz?

Zoomed In

Did you miss me? I know I haven't been on here much lately, and to be honest I will continue to be sporadic about blogging until things calm down a bit. With Christmas and everything that comes with it plus both birthdays of my girls all within ten days I am one busy mamma right now. My computer is telling me I misspelled mamma but I did not. That's how we spell it in polar bear country. (No, we don't really have polar bears walking around on our streets, but I'm humoring who ever came up with that rumor.)

To add a little bit more to my plate (I know, I'm running down bunny trails here, but we'll get to the picture soon. I promise you.) I decided to save a little money by crafting some of the gifts this year. They might show up here later, maybe as a tutorial or just as a little brag book type of blog post. But it sure is taking its sweet time, so forgive me if I'm not posting stuff here as often. Just know you have a lot to look forward to. =)

So, enough of that. What did I zoom in on this time? Well, you tell me.

Tell me before I tell you! (Yeah, I know, pretty lame. I usually give some sort of time frame, but I think I explained it well enough why that's a bit tricky right now. I'm shooting for sometime next week. How's that?)

Hmm... I guess my Zoomed In picture was a little harder than I first thought. Originally I hadn't zoomed in so much but when I uploaded it I thought anyone would be able to see what it was so I zoomed in some more. I have to say that the guesses were very good considering what you had to work with. I will try to make it easier next time.

So what did I zoom in on? It was a moose. I was hoping to find one with big antlers, but it wasn't season for that when I took the picture. Here is my little friend fully zoomed out...

I think I'm starting this off pretty easy, but who knows. Maybe it's easy just because I know what it is. We'll see how long it takes you to figure it out. Here we go:

Zoomed In and Out

If you read my intro you might have noticed that there is one topic I still haven't blogged about. The photo contest called "Zoomed In" and "Zoomed Out". I was so excited about it at first and then that excitement just went away. Hopefully it'll come back. But only if you're willing to play.

This is not your ordinary photo contest. I used to subscribe to this magazine as a child. On the last page they had this contest and I used to love trying to figure it out. So I figured it was my turn to take the pics. That's right, I take the picture, zoom in and then you have to guess what it is. That's the "Zoomed In" part. A few days later I will post the answer in "Zoomed Out". Here's an example:
